Arijon Ibrahimovic joins Augsburg on loan from Bayern Munich. The 18-year-old German U-21 international moved on loan until the end of the season, as reported by Kicker. FC Augsburg paid a loan fee of 500,000 Euro and holds a purchase option of eight million Euro in summer 2027. Sky reported the details of the clause. Ibrahimovic was originally intended as backup for Luis Diaz, having scored three goals in six pre-season preparation games for Bayern. His contract was extended until 2028 in the summer. FC Augsburg had inquired about Ibrahimovic last year but did not force a transfer, re-initiating talks this summer. Manuel Baum is head coach of FC Augsburg. Mert Kömür and Anton Kade previously played with Ibrahimovic in the German U-21 setup. Max Eberl said: "kann man merken, dass es für ihn ein Stück weit schwerer werden könnte". Arijon Ibrahimovic is now in the FC Augsburg squad and should strengthen the offense. FC Augsburg currently occupies fourth place in the Bundesliga with three points from one game and a goal difference of plus three. The next fixture is away against Eintracht Frankfurt on September 6, 2026. fixtures squad stats
