Augsburg completed the signing of 21‑year‑old U20 international Simo Suso from recently relegated Fortuna Düsseldorf on Friday evening. The midfielder signs until 2031 and costs the Fugger city between €1.6 million and €1.7 million.
The deal was sealed after a brief controversy over a medical certificate for the player. Fortuna, desperate for cash to fund a direct promotion push, accepted the offer.
