In their training camp in Tirol, FC Augsburg enjoyed a goal-fest. The Bundesliga team impressed in the Austrian town of Schwaz with a 15-0 (8-0) win against the third-division side SC Schwaz, delighting coach Manuel Baum.
With the return of World Cup players Michael Gregoritsch and Fabian Rieder, who started in the lineup, Uchenna Ogundu (5th minute, 19th, 37th), Gregoritsch (9th), Robin Fellhauer (21st, 39th), Thomas Kastanaras (29th), and Noahkai Banks (32nd) opened the scoring.
After the change with ten new players, Anton Kade (53rd, 57th), Marius Wolf (69th, 70th), Rodrigo Ribeiro (77th), Hennes Behrens (82nd), and Nathanael Mbuku (88th) took the result to a new level with their fourth test match win.
On Saturday (3:30 PM), the Augsburgers will host Italian top-flight side US Sassuolo Calcio in their home arena. A week later, they will face their toughest test at Leeds United. Baum's team will play their first competitive match in the DFB-Pokal on August 22 at FC Energie Cottbus.
FC Augsburg finished the 2025 season in 10th place in the Bundesliga with 33 points. The team scored 36 goals and conceded 53. They are 43 points behind leaders Bayern München.
