Augsburg Centurions secured a crucial away win in Albershausen. Luis Wittmann and Khalfani Muhammad were key for the visitors. The visitors took the lead in the first quarter with a touchdown pass from Luis Wittmann to Timo Benschuh. In the second quarter, Augsburg continued to dominate, with Wittmann throwing another touchdown pass to Ferdinand Schmid, giving the Centurions a deserved 14-0 lead at halftime. The start of the second half could not have gone better for the visitors. The first play after the break was a highlight of the day: Khalfani Muhammad broke through the Crusaders' defense and ran the ball 75 yards into the end zone. The hosts from Albershausen scored their first points in the third quarter with a touchdown pass from Daniel Rennie to Maximilian Wolf, narrowing the gap to 7-21. The Centurions' response was not long in coming. Khalfani Muhammad again scored with a strong run of 30 yards. In the final quarter, the Augsburgers continued to control the game. The final point was scored by kicker David Wawrzynek, who converted a 25-yard field goal at the start of the final quarter, securing a 31-7 win. The Centurions' defense was particularly impressive, holding the Crusaders' offense in check for most of the game and allowing only one touchdown. At the same time, the team showed their explosiveness in the running game, led by Khalfani Muhammad, who scored two touchdowns and several big plays to contribute significantly to the team's success. Augsburg's head coach, Eugen Haaf, was pleased with the team's performance: Our defense did a great job today and hardly allowed anything. We can build on that. In the offense, we set some important accents, but we still see room for improvement. There's still room for growth, and we'll continue to work on the details.
