FC Augsburg will travel to face third-division side SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the DFB-Pokal second round on 27 October at 18:00 at the WIRmachenDRUCK Arena. It is the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.
Broadcast on Pay-TV
The cup match will not be shown on free television. Instead, Sky, WOW and RTL+ will broadcast the game live. Only 15 of the 63 matches in this season's cup competition will be aired for free on ARD, ZDF or RTL.
Ticket Sale Underway
An exclusive pre-sale for SG season ticket holders and members began on 14 September and runs until 17 September at 9:00. Up to four tickets can be purchased per entitlement. The general sale for all fans then starts on Thursday at 9:00. Tickets are available online, with a limited contingent of family tickets in the home section behind the goal. Prices for the main stand are 150 euros for adults, while standing tickets cost 16 euros.
Current Form as Favourite
The Bundesliga side travel to Aspach as clear favourites. Augsburg currently sit 4th in the Bundesliga with seven points from four games. Their recent form over the last five matches shows three wins, one draw and one defeat. Their next league fixture is a home game against Bayern Munich on 10 October.
FuPa remarked on the draw, saying that DFB-Pokal fever is back in Aspach. For Augsburg, it is the chance to underline their strong season so far with a confident advance to the next round. The match kicks off at 18:00 on 27 October.
