FC Augsburg has activated the purchase option for Michael Gregoritsch, permanently signing the Austrian international. The 32-year-old forward, who was on loan from Brøndby IF, has signed a contract until June 30, 2027, with an option for another year. Gregoritsch, who previously played for Augsburg from 2017 to 2022, impressed in the last half of the season with six goals and three assists in 17 appearances. With 35 Bundesliga goals for Augsburg, he is just two goals shy of tying the club's record scorer, Alfred Finnbogason. FCA sporting director Benni Weber praised Gregoritsch's contributions and highlighted his importance to the team.
