The FC Augsburg is set to lose left-back Mads Pedersen to Hertha BSC. The 29-year-old Dane is expected to join the capital club for a reported 150,000 Euro transfer fee on Sunday. Pedersen had a contract with the Fuggerstädter until the summer of 2027, but only played seven games last season. With the experience of 115 Bundesliga games, the 1.78-meter-tall outside defender is expected to fill the gap on the left side of the defense in the team of head coach Stefan Leitl. The FC Augsburg currently ranks 10th in the Bundesliga and scored 36 goals and conceded 53 in the previous season. The team is 43 points behind the leaders Bayern München. The next game of the Fuggerstädter is on February 13, 2027 against Werder Bremen.
