The FC Augsburg says goodbye to Mads Pedersen, who joins Hertha BSC. The 29-year-old Dane has been with the club since the 2019/20 season. Pedersen was signed from FC Nordsjaelland for the 2019/20 season. He played a total of 120 games, scoring four goals and providing four assists. In the last two Bundesliga seasons, he played seven games each and spent a total of around 200 minutes on the pitch.

Change on his own wish FCA sports director Benni Weber explains the departure with the Dane's wish for a sporting change: „Mads wanted to change sportingly to get more playing time again.“. Pedersen also looks back on his time in Augsburg with gratitude: „I am grateful for the seven years at FCA. We always felt very comfortable in Augsburg. Now it's time for me and my family to start a new chapter.. In Berlin, Pedersen will now play regularly for the second-division Hertha BSC. The transfer fee is reportedly 150,000 euros.
